I have been thinking about this since long time.
A Dream Book for children. Finally, i made it come true yesterday.
Together with Saniah, my painting friend, we made the drawings and illustrations.
This is a book about dreams. The dreams that motivate you to reach the success in life. It has two parts, the motivational quote and the dream jobs. I am the one who created the motivational quote. The words that will cheer you up when you are down. The quotes will bright you and pump up your spirit to reach dreams. Moreover, it motivates you to dream big and high. Secondly, are the dream jobs. About what you want to be in the future? A teacher, director or entrepreneur? x)
However, we just made the simple version. Since we are quiet (not) busy, we had only 3 hours to drew and colored the book. Then, we went to the orphanage where we will have the break fasting together. It is located in Arau, Perlis. The place is nice and full with cute-happy children. I was so happy to see their smile.
The break fasting went smoothly. We sat together and enjoyed the meals. I had interesting chit chat with Dennis, a new Thailand friend. About religion, dormitory life, and many more. Then it is time to leave and go home. I was looking for anyone who is responsible for the kids. And i asked a boy that i want to give the Dream Book. He pointed at a purple guy who stood at the corner of room. He is a teacher. I handed him the Dream Book and told him to let the children read it. I was sorry that i can't fill in all the pages. He said "It is okay. Thank you."
Then we met three girls outside. Her name is Wani (11). She is small and has sweet smile. The other two girls whom i forget the name are nice as well. One of them, she is able to speak Indonesian. Cuz she has many Indonesian friends in her previous school. She speaks like a real Indonesian, literally. Mostly, they are dropped to the orphanage cuz one of their parents, either Mom or Dad, has passed away. That is why they stay there, to have someone takes care of them. However, i don't see any burden on their face, they seem fine and normal.
I was telling them that they can ask for the Dream Book from the teacher whom stand five meters from us. Then she said something, that leave me with the big question along the way to home, "Are you a writer?" I was laughing a little and said, "Yeah, i want to."
"Really?"
"I will. I am preparing a book."
Time was running out. We said good bye to the girls. Accompanied by a calm journey that night, i can't stop thinking about the question. It is like a reminder for me. When will i make it come true? What i have been doing for such long time? And other rhetoric questions.
I know i will. It is my dream. Is it a coincidence? That you made a Dream Book for someone and suddenly that person remind you about your dream? No, it is not. So, i will make it come true. I am gonna finish the book whatever will be.
Anyway, for you who still questioning about what Dream Book is, it is just a book about your dreams. What you want to be? How do you reach it? When and why? You can make one for your self. Why is it important to make this kind of book? Cuz by visualizing and writing it down, it will help you more to make it come true.
It will tell your unconscious mind to let it live in your life. So, go gotta make it! x)
This is a true story about a man who just arrive in his new house. His son is playing with his old stuffs. He calls his dad and give him a board. He is surprised to see the board with a picture of his dream house sticked on it. It is totally same with his new house now. Are you still doubt it? ;)
I forget to tell the teacher that since i haven't finish the book so the children can fill it with their drawing about dreams. They can continue the book with putting their dreams inside. They can use the book for enriching their dreams. Hope they will make the dream book by their own x)
Here are some of the pages ;) Totally there are 8 pages including the quotes and dream jobs.
